This Privacy Policy describes how and when Krumplr, Inc. collects, uses and shares your information when you use our services. Krumplr, Inc. receives your information through email, the Krumplr, Inc. website and the Task Krumplr website, client applications, and APIs (the "Services" or "Task Krumplr") and from our partners and other third parties. For example, you send us information when you create a task using the Task Krumplr website or iOS application.

When using any of our Services you consent to the collection, transfer, manipulation, storage, disclosure and other uses of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. Irrespective of which country you reside in or supply information from, you authorize Krumplr, Inc. to use your information in the United States and any other country where Krumplr, Inc. operates.

Information Collection and Use

Information Collected Upon contacting us: When you send us email we will archive the email and we may use the provided information to improve our services. For example, we reserve the right to publish the content of your email absent any personally identifying information to respond to your request or help other users. We may use your email address to send you information about our services and to provide information about our services to you.

Information Collected Upon Registration: When you create or reconfigure a Task Krumplr account, you provide some personal information, such as your username, password, or email address. Task Krumplr users can find out about your Task Krumplr username by using your account's email address to grant you access to one of their projects. We may use your contact information to send you information about our Services or to market to you. You also understand and agree that the Service may include certain communications from Krumplr, Inc., such as service announcements, administrative messages, etc., and that these communications are considered part of the Service and You will not be able to opt out of receiving them.

Service Data:  We collect information from you relating to the projects, tasks, and other features in the service. We use this data in order to provide the service to you, to provide you with product support, and on an aggregate basis to improve and update our products and services. Further usage information is provided in “Information Sharing and Disclosure” below.

Links: Krumplr, Inc. may keep track of how you interact with links across our Services, including our email notifications and client applications. We do this to help improve our Services.

Cookies: Like many websites, we use cookies. We use the session cookie to keep track of if you are logged into our Services. We may use cookies and similar technologies to collect additional website usage data and to improve our Services. A cookie is a small data file that is transferred to your computer's hard disk. Krumplr, Inc. may use both session cookies and persistent cookies to better understand how you interact with our Services, to monitor aggregate usage by our users and web traffic routing on our Services, and to customize and improve our Services. Most Internet browsers automatically accept cookies. You can instruct your browser, by changing its settings, to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie from the websites you visit. However, some Services may not function properly if you disable cookies.

Log-Data: Our servers automatically record information ("Log Data") created by your use of the Services. Log Data may include information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, the referring web page, pages visited, device and application IDs, and cookie information. We receive Log Data when you interact with our Services. Krumplr, Inc. uses Log Data to provide our Services and to measure, customize, and improve them.

Crash-Data: Our mobile client applications may automatically collect certain non-personally identifiable information relating to application crashes if one should occur. This information may include, without limitation, device state information at the time of a crash, unique device identifiers and information relating to the physical location of a device at the time of a crash.

Third-Parties: Krumplr, Inc. uses a variety of third-party services to help provide our Services, such as hosting our applications and databases, and to help us understand the use of our Services and monitor and improve their quality. These third-party service providers may collect information sent by our mobile client application or your browser as part of a web page request, such as cookies or your IP address.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Your Consent: We may share or disclose your information at your direction, such as when you authorize a third-party web client or application to access your Task Krumplr account.

Tasks and Projects: Your projects and tasks are private by default. i.e. no other user has access to your projects and tasks or any meta information about them. When you share a project you do so by providing the email address of the person you want to share your project with. It is your responsibility to ensure that the email address indeed belongs to the person you want to share your project with. While users can only register with Task Krumplr by providing an invitation code, Krumplr, Inc. confirms that the user who signs up with a given email address can read email sent to this email address. (Later, only user names whose email address was verified by the user will get access to shared projects.) When you share a project with another user you grant the user the right to modify or delete the project or any of its contained information as well as the right to manage with who the project should be shared. Thus, a person you grant access to one of your projects can share the project with other users or remove your access to the project. Thus, when you share a project with another person, ensure that you mutually agree on the terms of use of the project. You can delete a user from a project at any time. You can delete tasks and projects at any time. You can delete your account at any time. Krumplr, Inc. does not use your projects or tasks for any other purpose than to provide the Services to you. In the process of supporting Task Krumplr we may have to access the information in your projects and tasks for example in order to identify an application defect. If this occurs, we will always request your explicit permission before looking at the data in your projects and tasks. In order to provide users with our Services, we may have to disable any user access to your data until we receive your permission.

Service Providers: We engage service providers to perform functions and provide services to us in the United States and abroad. We may share data collected from us, including your private personal information, with such service providers subject to confidentiality obligations consistent with this Privacy Policy, and on the condition that the third parties use your private personal data only on our behalf pursuant to the terms disclosed in this policy, and pursuant to our instructions.

Law and Harm: Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Policy, we may preserve or disclose your information if we believe that it is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation or legal request; to protect the safety of any person; to address fraud, security or technical issues; or to protect Krumplr, Inc.'s rights or property. However, nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to limit any legal defenses or objections that you may have to a third party’s, including a government’s, request to disclose your information.

Business Transfers: In the event that Krumplr, Inc. is involved in a bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, your information may be sold or transferred as part of that transaction. The promises in this Privacy Policy will apply to your information as transferred to the new entity.

Network Transmissions: You understand that the technical processing and transmission of the Service, including Your User Content, may involve (a) transmissions over various networks; and (b) changes to conform and adapt to technical requirements of connecting networks or devices.

Modifying Your Personal Information

If you are a registered user of our Services, we provide you with tools to access or modify the personal information you provided to us and associated with your account. You can also permanently delete your Task Krumplr account. If you delete your account we will delete all your information including your non-shared projects and all their tasks from our systems. We may retain some residual information for some time as part of our backup strategy.

Our Policy Towards Children

Our Services are not directed to persons under 13. If you become aware that your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us at ‘privacy’ at krumplr. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we take steps to remove such information and terminate the child's account.

Notice to Users Located Outside of the U.S.

If you’re located outside of the United States of America, your personally identifiable information may be transferred to, and maintained on, computers located in the United States, the laws of which may be deemed by your state, province or country to have inadequate data protection. By choosing to provide us with your personally identifiable information, you are giving us consent to transfer your personally identifiable information to the United States and to process it there.

Changes to this Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version of the policy will govern our use of your information and will always be at https://krumplr.com/privacy. If we make a change to this policy that, in our sole discretion, is material, we will notify you via our Krumplr, Inc. and Task Krumplr website or email to the email address associated with your account. By continuing to access or use the Services after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.
